Many of the valleys of Trentino are dotted with beautiful lines of ascent, but among them is the Val Daone to have earned the reputation of a true "Mecca" of ice climbing. Here are more than 140 ice climbs that attract fans every year from all over Italy.

For the first outing of the Wild White Winter tour we have therefore decided to come to the shores of Lake Boazzo, where we find some of the most impressive waterfalls (Il Sogno del Gran Sczzese, Multilayer Placca ...). Among all we have chosen to climb the famous "Queen of the lake".

The waterfall is divided into two branches, left and right: we will climb the latter to enjoy the morning sun, which stands out the bizarre shapes of the ice and its embroidery.

We need to know that the waterfalls do not always remain the same, but they change their appearance every season: they can be "fat or thin", easier or more difficult, depending on the temperatures and the water flow that feeds them ... we are lucky, the Queen of the Lake shows us her best dress, giving us a magnificent climb on solid ice. In the company of friends, the day runs off fast, and we can only end with a toast at the inn La Paia, lair of the legendary Placido, caring custodian of the Valley and its shining treasures.
