Whether you are new to ski touring, or have some experience and are looking to improve your skills, this is the course for you.
Regardless of experience level, it offers important avalanche education and rescue practice, route planning including identifying the best stashes of powder as well as hazards to avoid, and, of course, serves up fantastic skiing and touring throughout!
We’ll begin with the essential ski touring techniques, including skinning, inversion kick turns, steep snow climbs, more off-piste downhill descents, avalanche awareness and rescue skills.
By the time you’re finished, you’ll be ready to join our more advanced ski touring excursions, and feel confident in ski touring on your own.

Basic level required: intermediate level of skiing. Participants will be tested on a slope, during the first lesson.

Costs conditions and materials

Each Guide can take a maximum of 6 people

Included in the fee: the Guide service, liability insurance, and personal safety equipment if required (transceiver, probe, and shovel).

Not included in the fee: anything not mentioned in "included". Transfer costs will be divided between participants.
Possibility to spend one or more nights in a hut, to be agreed with participants.

Equipment provided by Mountime: personal safety equipment (A.R.T.V.A tranceiver, shovel and probe).

Personal equipment: ski touring equipment (ski touring skis with touring bindings, ski touring boots, ski crampons, helmet, telescopic poles), adequate clothing including warm gloves and hat, sun glasses, backpack with a change of clothes, flask for hot drinks, food and energy snacks.

Should you require specific gear please let us know, we will do our best to help you, and in case we will refer you to one of our recommended ski rental shops.
