What to expect
Introduction to safety: Before you begin, our Mountain Guide will guide you through the main safety techniques, from basic maneuvers to the proper use of protective equipment.
Equipment Testing: You will have the opportunity to try out the main tools of ice climbing, such as ice axes, crampons, and belay devices.
Progression Technique: You will learn basic techniques for tackling ice walls, learning how to use the ice axes and crampons safely and effectively
Where and When
The test day will be held in a picturesque and safe location surrounded by winter nature, ideal for ice climbing. The activity will last the whole day.
In detail, “when and where” will be agreed with the participants from time to time, depending on the weather conditions and ice falls.
Who can participate: The day is open to everyone, from beginners to experts, with the only requirement of having a good physical condition. If you have never tried ice climbing, don't worry! Our Guides are ready to guide you step by step.
SKILLS REQUIRED: minimal climbing experience preferred
It is recommended to book the course in advance so that you have time to better organize the activity. Once you sign up, you will receive all the information you need to better prepare. These are the dates: sunday 04/01/2026 or sunday 22/02/2026
FEE INCLUDES: the service of the mountain guide, liability insurance, iI rental of technical equipment (harness, helmet, ice axes, crampons) and common use equipment.
FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE: Eventual rental of cramponable boots (to be requested at the time of booking). Transfer: you will be at the start of the trail leading to the refuge

Mountain Guide expenses (travel, food, lodging) will be divided among participants and calculated according to the meeting point..
Attrezzatura fornita da Mountime: Imbrago, casco, piccozze e ramponi.
Equipaggiamento personale: Abbigliamento adatto all’attività all’aperto invernale (caldo e impermeabile, possibilmente a più strati), scarponi ramponabili o semi-ramponabili, zaino con thermos con bevande calde, pranzo al sacco e spuntini.
