A 5 days course to discover all the sides of the mountain, from the crags to the glaciers through the via ferratas and the multi pitch routes. A chance to know the mountain in all it’s aspects.

The curse is addressed to all who wants a complete introduction with the mountain sports. It’s not required any experience just a good physical shape and want to take a challenge.
The course will take place between Arco and the Marmolada (depending on the weather and snow conditions).

Alpine mountaineering courses

Work plan*:
1st day: meeting in Arco and distribution of the technical equipment. Climbing lesson in a crag for a first approach with the rock, progression techniques, partner’s belay, basic knots.
2nd day: multi pitch route climbing to try how climbing changes from crags to alpine routes, to learn techniques and manoeuvres of this discipline. Transfer to the Fedaia pass and climb to the Pian dei Fiacconi Refuge.
3rd day: techniques of progression on a glacier, use of crampons and ice axe, basic manoeuvres in case of emergency, ascent to Punta Rocca.
4th day: Glacier progression and ascent to Punta Penia from the west ridge, descent from the normal route.
5th day: ferrata Porta Vescovo  to learn how to manage on this kind of paths. Return to Arco.
* It’s a maximum program that can be changed according on weather and snow conditions.

Costs conditions and materials

Each Guide can take care of maximum 6 people. The day dedicated to the multi-pitch routes each Guide will care of maximum 2 people, will be activated more Guides depending on the number of participants.

Included in the fee: the Guide service and expenses, the technical equipment hire necessary for the activity and the transfer from Arco to the Fedaia Pass.

Not included in the fee: overnight, personal expenses and meals, cable lift ticket if necessary and all not specified in "included".


Equipment provided by Mountime: harness, helmet, ferrata set and crampons.
Personal equipment: Layered mountain sportswear, warm windproof jacket, gloves and cap, trekking boots (better if semi-crampon), backpack with water and energetic food.
