Tignale

Unlike the other canyons, Tignale has some open and bright stretches, which invite you to stop and relax in the large pools carved into the rock. A river with a very variable seasonal flow, it tends to be warmer than the others in the area. This is why it is perfect for early and late summer.

Tignale itinerary

In the morning we reach the hamlet of Piovere, leave the van and get ready by wearing neoprene wetsuits and shoes, harness and helmet.
Walking on a gentle path we reach the entrance of the Canyon where your Guide will hold a short but detailed briefing to illustrate the activity, rules and behaviors to follow in the river.
The adventure begins with a series of rappels alternating with rock slides until we reach a long slide leading to a large swimming pool.

After a series of descents, in a short time we reach  further down where the environment reopens. We then move onto an exposed traverse and get ready for a 45-meter abseil, which marks the conclusion of the first section.
As we continue, easier terrain awaits us but there is not time to relax, for we are soon met by 2 steep slides that pour into idyllic pools. The last 12-meter slide is remarkable, one to remember, not for its difficulty but for its exhilarating fun!
