It is a great way to challenge yourself and push your limits in a safe environment while also enjoying the stunning scenery. Canyoning can also be a great way to bond with friends and family, as it is a great way to explore and experience the outdoors together.

The Mountime team would like to introduce you to two new canyons in Trentino waiting for you this summer!

  • Rio Ambièz

A super-exciting canyoning route located in San Lorenzo Dorsino, a few kilometres from Molveno in Trentino! A super location for this activity!

The route starts by descending into the torrent directly from the Ponte di Baesa bridge and consists of two main rappels down the bridge. It is a long section with 3 cliffs of 5 mt where you will do in sequence: slide, jump, abseil and rappel. After that, you will reach the most closed part of the Canyon, where you will find a series of rappels until you reach the exit! Please note once you enter the closed part, there will be no escape routes.

Access to the Canyon: Reach the village of Dorsino and take a road to the left that, in 2 km, will take you to the Baesa bridge; from there, the descent will begin.

Here are the canyon details to better prepare you for this adventure!

Height difference: 200 mt
Development: 800 mt
Descent time: 2.5 h
Approach time: 0
Highest waterfall: 16 mt
Number of rappels: 10
Difficulty: A3 V2 III°

  • Busa Inferno

The Busa Inferno is the other new Canyoning route we want to introduce you to!
From the Busa bridge, on the right-hand bank, a flat road leads into the forest and becomes a path. You follow it until the slope changes.
After the 15 mt fixed rope handrail, you reach the entrance to the canyon, which is located near the remains of a concrete outlet. Descending with a stretch of branding, you will find the first abseil to be made! From here, with a series of rappels, 10 in total, you will find yourself at the exit. The environment of this Canyon is very narrow and not very watery, but certainly very impressive!

The access is the same as for the Rio Ambièz: Reach the village of Dorsino and take a road to the left that, in 2 km, will take you to the Baesa bridge; from there, the descent begins.

While the details are different!

Height difference: 200 mt
Development: 800 mt
Descent time: 2 h
Approach time: 25 min
Highest waterfall: 16 mt
