Very exposed, this Via Ferrata requires good strength in the arms and lack of vertigo. This excursion can be considered difficult and destined to expert mountaineers. It must be covered anticlockwise: from Canalone Battisti to the Eagles' Throne (Trono dell’aquila).

Ferrata delle Aquile

Information about the via ferrata

From Andalo we take the cable car lift to reach the top station on Paganella. With a short downward walk, well indicated by white and red signs, we reach the beginning of the via ferrata. Along the route we find a sequence of traverse crossings and iron ladders, some descending other ascending, which allow us to cross the entire Estern side of the mountain. A fascinating tibetan bridge joins two isolated peaks, and gives the chance to experience the feeling of “void under the shoes”. Although the Via Ferrata delle Aquile is demanding, it is extremely well equipped and protected.
