Rio Nero complete itinerary.

The starting point of our descent along the Rio Nero is located in Passo Tremalzo, beyond the Ampola pass. We leave the van and get ready by wearing neoprene wetsuits and shoes, harness and helmet. Your Guide will hold a short but detailed briefing to illustrate the activities, rules and behaviors to follow in the river.

Our ‘gentle’ approach begins along a flat section, which quickly leads to a change of slope. From here we experience a succession of waterfalls that lead more and more into the heart of the deep Rio Nero gorge. In fact it’s so deep that the little light that filters through the foliage of the vegetation around us is just enough to illuminate the path. But we’ll soon reach open spaces,
where the rays of sun peeking through create incredible plays of light, and enhance the crystalline water in which we swim.

After another stretch of walk in a narrow alley, we join the lower part of the stream and an adrenaline-pumping slide followed by jumps and abseiling. Slides, jumps and more gentle stretches on foot along the river bed alternate adrenaline and relaxation as we make our way further down.

The final part of the Rio Nero canyon is characterized by two waterfalls of more than 10 meters in height that will be overcome with two long abseils, thus concluding the adventure in a magnificent place.
Walking through this canyon is one of the most fascinating adventures, set to become a highlight of your holiday in this beautiful region.
